I was not overly pleased, this is a cash only restaurant which I had no idea going in and ordering. I am not really sure how to read the menu either so that was fun.. service was ok, nothing to brag about.

I don't know if they make their broth from Scratch or not, but it tasted exactly like the cheap Campbells soup pho broth you can buy at any grocery store. I LOVE pho and was extremely disappointed to eat out and feel like the one I make at home was better.

Can't figure out why people speak so highly of this place. Went there with a friend who insisted it had the best Vietnamese food around, but honestly I've had better. Lunch was very busy and I asked the server (owner?) if he thought we'd be able to get out in less than an hour as I had to get back... More

Interesting and nice little Pho place. Wonderful service and large portions. I would have sacrificed the portion size for less fish sauce in the food and an improved flavour profile. However if you are looking for value for your dollar then you should consider this easy to find, central spot.

it's not a large place but the first sign that it's a local treasure is that it is usually quite busy. As a fan of Wonton soup, it is a sort of yardstick I sometimes use to compare. Theirs is the tastiest. There are not a large number of wontons, and the wontons are on the smaller size but the... More

I've been going to this restaurant for years. It has the best Vietnamese food that I've tasted on the Island. (And I try every place I find.) The spring rolls are amazing. The service is fast, even when it is busy. This place packs out at lunch so show up by noon to guarrantee a seat, or there is one... More

My wife, who is from Vietnam, and I found this small restaurant on our last trip to Courtenay. Very typical family restaurant. Small, friendly, busy and with very authentic food. My wife ordered some things not on the menu and they were happy to accommodate her. I had salad rolls and beef ribs that were both excellent. We picked up... More

This is definitely my favourite restaurant in Courtenay. I always order take out as I prefer to eat at home, and the owner always remembers me and my order. Portions are generous. The ambiance is not to die for, but the food is. It is always full when I pick up my order.

We love this place for an inexpensive and consistently good meal. The staff are always friendly and service is fast but it can be very busy and hard to get a table at certain times. Some people would not like the decor but we find it fun and kitchy with the plastic hanging fruit lights and strange ornaments. This is... More

Excellent, hot and tasty every single time, take out or eat in. I'm not a foodie but I look forward to eating 14c (Lemon Grass Beef) whenever I can. Portions are good and always fresh. Bring cash they don't take credit or debit.
