Upon our arrival for dinner, Bothe my wife and I noted and commented on how clean the pub was .It is really noticeable coming through the doors. We were seated by pleasant staff. Several drink specials were available and we chose one each. Both arrived quickly and were very good. The food was outstanding. Good quantity and delicious. The server... More

This used to be a fairly plain, typical pub, until new ownership did a full renewal. Craft beer, new chef, and plenty of live music has made this pub into a local hot spot. Well done!

Whether you're local or travelling, Roy's Towne Pub has everything you could ask for in a neighbourhood pub: easy access location, plenty of parking, clean and comfortable environment, great food, good prices, lovely wait staff and live entertainment. They are known for their burgers and my "Wrangler" did not disappoint. My dad Frank loved his Ham & Grilled Cheese with... More

Went for supper and a beer off the beaten path on a Monday evening at this clean, well maintained and very cozy pub. The service was fast and friendly. Goat cheese on my veggie burger was a unique and much appreciated extra. Good selection of Vancouver Island's best micro-brewed beer. They have live music and open mic nights. The pub... More

We were out for a days drive, touring our new island. We started to get peckish and drove into the first place we came to. Roy's Town Pub. Good selection of craft beers on tap - Good menu selection and the Seafood Chowder was as good as my partners!! Fantastic.

Went on a Friday evening for dinner. I had the fish and chips and my friend had to the chicken mango pasta. The halibut and chips were tasty and good portions, and my friend was happy with her pasta. The service was good, but when we didn't order a second drink our server made it very clear that she wanted... More

Fabulous food! Fabulous service! Not much else to say, except you MUST visit Roy's if you're ever in the area. The menu is beautifully varied - lots to choose from and lots of healthy items too. It is always busy (both lunch and dinner) and the atmosphere is laid back and friendly. There are keno boards and the evenings often... More

Of all the pubs between Qualicum Bay and S. Courtenay this has become our favourite. Rather than a short-order cook the Roy actually has a chef in the kitchen and that makes a big difference. The menu is interesting and varied and the food is really good. The schnitzel nights are really popular. We personally don't like to eat when... More

Decent sized portions, fish and chips was ok. Prawn curry was odd. The "prawns" were 2 skewers on the side of the plate. The first time I have ever seen the mango chutney and cucumber raita spread across the middle of the curry. Did I mention I hate cucumber? Had difficulty getting the drink order right. Service was friendly but... More

We went to the Roy with a group of 8 people. We all had a different meal and each of us felt the meals were delicious and adequately sized. The ambiance was great with Doug Fox playing guitar. Charlie and his crew did a great job serving us and providing an enjoyable evening. One of the best places to eat... More
