I had lunch here with friends today. I used to come here for several years in the past and then just got away from it because I worked on the south side of Burnaby instead of the north. I've been back twice recently and I will definitely become a regular again. The food is incredibly delicious, the service is excellent,... More

I usually order the congee, the spicy tofu or mapo tofu, and the sweet and sour pork. The food here is fresh, tasty and good, old fashioned canadian-chinese style. Nothing too fancy, but generally satisfying.

We visited Double One because a group of our friends insisted upon a Chinese dinner in North Burnaby. Today's evening repast was quite enjoyable and only cost $22 per person (2 tables of 10 persons each). Our dinner arrived promptly (too promptly because the entrees arrived before we could finish our soup). Overall it was a very enjoyable dinner.

This is a great place if you like good Chinese Food, it's not quite real authentic but authentic enough, especially for the locals :). Don't let the decor fool you, think of it as being the big win for the good food. The staff are friendly and helpful, the service is very good. Ask them about the specials and ask... More

As regular visitors to Vancouver (we have family who live there), a family meal at Double One has become almost, a tradition. We generally need 2 large tables but this time we managed to squeeze about 13 people around one table. Favourite dishes include the steamed (fresh) crabs, sweet & sour pork, lemon chicken but they are all pretty delicious.

The restraint is not very fancy, very plain in fact but what they lack in décor they make up for in flavor. This has got to be the very best Chinese food I have ever tasted. I travel a lot throughout Canada, the USA and Asia and the food in this place is as good as it gets anywhere I... More

We visited the Double One to enjoy a dinner with friends. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff very courteous. Our food arrived piping hot and was typical of this type of Chinese restaurant. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. We managed to find parking at the rear of the restaurant. I understand that the restaurant also offers free delivery with... More

A little hole-in-the-wall restaurant well east on Hastings St. out in Burnaby is part of a couple of block strip with a variety of restaurants. It is a pleasant place - lots of regulars and very friendly staff. We ordered a bowl of wonton noodle soup for $6, which was a shareable portion as a starter. The broth was not... More

Usually go there lunch time. The food is good. It can be a little sloppy but it's ok. Seating is ok, washrooms are clean. Service is good. Parking is ok.
