I stopped by the Clamdiggers based on reviews from Trip Advisor. This is a takeout place and the portion sizes are huge - at least the seafood platter was! I asked the staff for what was the most popular, and this was their suggestion. It...More

This is the classic fish n' chips experience; you drive into the lot or park on the road, walk up to the ordering window, order, and wait for your number to be called. Then dive into the joyful experience of Clamdigger F&C. The fish n'...More

This is a 'must stop' for sea food when in St. Andrews. We had deep fried clams that were quite delightful. The whole experience is 'to do.'

Seafood platter comes with clams, shrimp, scallops and a piece of haddock, of course with homecut fries and homemade coleslaw. Delish burgers. I like that they source their beef locally! Home cut fries and beer battered onion rings. They prepare everything fresh and you can...More

Nothing spectacular here but they do serve a decent lobster roll and more fries than you need. Given the lack of options in the surrounding areas, this place is deserving of a stop.

Stopped for fish and chips - truly excellent. No fuss, good price. Cute picnic tables in the shade to sit on.

This appears to be a place that's been around a long time and regulars have fond memories. Wasn't impressed with my lobster roll. I'd eat in town.

We got the seafood platter and bacon cheddar burger. The tartar sauce was the worst I’ve ever had. The platter and burger were lack lustre to say the least. I don’t know if it was old oil or over cooked but nothing about our lunch...More

The other reviews on TA were CORRECT! This wee chippie is amazing! From the neat and tidy exterior and grounds, to the easy parking, to the smiling girl who took our order and kept saying, “No problem!”, to the short wait for the not-at-all-greasy food...More

Their advertising says they are open April to September, so I assume they would still be open on the 23rd. You might be able to contact them directly on Facebook. They have a page there.
