Highly recommended by our family, we had to try. We were warned there would be a wait as the place was very popular and not very big. It was definitely worth the wait. We were told 30-45 mins but were seated with drinks in about 25 mins. Server and hostess were both very accommodating for 4 newbies. Food was hot... More

Best sushi, honestly can't find a comparable place in Calgary. It's always busy so arrive early! Everything is delicious and the service is fast.

Very good sushi and a lot of selection. The sukiyaki was a bit on the sweet side. Friendly atmosphere....sit at the sushi bar and meet the locals and some visitors.

Our waitress was nice and helpful with suggestions. The sushi is spicy such as the kryptonite. Beef rolls delicious. Fish carpaccio amazing. we got a selection and it was all really good. Good selection of beer and wines.

As always, friendly staff with detailed knowledge on the food being served who can give great recommendations for all dietary needs. An extensive menu with lots of delicious options. We were lucky to walk straight in to get a seated private area where you take your shoes off and sit to get a real all around experience of eating in... More

I checked out Yamagoya while in Fernie after seeing all the positive reviews. Overall the food was good but it didn't really blow me away. It was average good sushi comparable to other sushi restaurants I've eaten at. It does get quite busy even during the weekday so get there early if you can as the restaurant isn't very big... More

I have been hesitant to eat sushi whilst overseas but my daughter recommended this restaurant. We got there shortly after opening time for dinner and it was packed so we opted to sit at the bar to eat. The service was great and the food was fantastic.

Was fabulous. We were a walk in, and delighted to be seated almost immediately. A very busy evening, obviously, but service nevertheless remained excellent. We sat at the "bar" and the elevated seating allowed us to witness food preparation, entertainment in itself, fast, professional and really fun to watch. Highly recommend that opportunity. Thank you for a fun and delicious... More

This restaurant is the best! Amazing Japanese food - arrive early because you cant book and it fills up quickly. We arrived around 7 and had to wait for 30 mins for a table which was fine because they have a little bar area which is quite nice. The food is worth the wait and the prices are incredibly reasonable.... More
