A group of us met here last July and the setting is out of this world. The food is average but the wine and the tasting experience if five star. If the summer heat has you travelling stop in here and enjoy the view.

Skimmerhorn Bistro is always a treat! We will make a day trip of it and I usually bring people with me. Since the winery opened I have enjoyed wine tasting as well as the visit with the gals working there. It's like coming home. The Creston Valley is so beautiful and this is always a favourite stop.

Having been here twice now, we absolutely love coming to this winery. The ladies are very friendly and knowledgeable. We love the whites, desserts and frozen wines. Not red wine drinkers however do have family who will enjoy these so purchased one of each. It is a small winery that is gaining popularity and they ship to Alberta now which... More

We always make a point of having lunch at Skimmerhorn whenever we are in the Creston area. The food, wine and view are outstanding.

We were on holidays in Cranbrook from SK. Left the children with grandma for a day trip date out to Creston. After the typical fruit stand visit, we went out to the winery and were pleasantly greeted as soon as we entered. Informative wine tasting, with and awesome light snack from their tapas menu, made for a relaxing time on... More

We enjoyed Skimmerhorn winery wines, so similar in taste to our home wines from Central Europe (Austria, Czech, Germany). As we continued to Banff and Jasper National Park, we purchased two cases and I enjoyed it very much.

The scenery off the tree sheltered deck is beautiful, including the valley mountains and the vineyard and garden of Skimmerhorn. The tapas menu that is currently served is tasty, attractive, and filling. The staff is friendly and helpful. The free wine tasting is now available at two tasting bars. The owners are often present, and are very hands-on (one works... More

Only open for lunch. Grant view over looking the vineyard and valley to the south of Creston. Seating area shaded by large Walnut trees, so even in the heat it was pleasant. Most seating outside but one can sit inside as well. Food very tasty with great sauce. Had chicken breast with wild mushroom sauce, veg, baked potato covered with... More

Looking for a nice place to go for an anniversary dinner, we went here. The food was superb and the wine pairing was excellent. A nice relaxed atmosphere. Marleen the owner and her staff do a great job of making you feel at home. Creston hospitality at the finest.
