What a find. The tagline “Where luxury meets the wilderness” is highly appropriate. Tweedsmuir Lodge is unpretentious, yet elegant; Beautiful in a totally natural way and wonderfully cozy. We visited the Lodge for 4 nights during the second week of October. We were greeted at the airport by Miel and quickly loaded into a van for the hour long drive... More

Set menu for dinner, choice for lunch and choice for breakfast. Able to cope with a non-fish eater .

The entry sign & information in brochures indicated lunch available. Arrived & were told they couldn't accommodate us because they were full of guests. No other restaurant anywhere near so were very lucky we had a few food items in vehicle. If you are on a long, empty (of eating places) road don't say you are a restaurant unless open... More

Hi Julie, I feel your frustration....I too, on numerous occasions, have gone to a restaurant only to find out that they were full. In hindsight, I should have called ahead of time to make a reservation. Our advertising is accurate and truthful. We are open to the public. We have limited seating capacity (about 20 seats), therefore there are times... More

It seems regardless of what is served it if fabulous. The meals were prepared perfectly and looked like works of art on our plates. The flavours were exquisite and the wine list extensive for its size. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful which added to the wonderful atmosphere of this lodge

The food at the lodge is incredible - fresh, variety, decadent, delicious. Comparable with some of the top restaurants you would find in a big city.

Description
Note: If you are NOT staying with us, always call to confirm availability. We are often sold out, especially in bear season (late August to mid October). We serve an international style cuisine, with a West Coast twist. All meals are served in the main dining room of the lodge and are included when booking one of our all-inclusive packages such as the Bella Coola Explorer or Grizzly Bear Safari. To complement your meal there is a well stocked wine cellar with a special focus on New World wines from British Columbia's best vineyards. The chef will post the featured menu for that day in the morning. Due to the small and intimate size of our facility there is just the one set choice. However, care and attention are given to special dietary needs and preferences. Anybody with allergies, a unique diet, or a simple yearning for something not on the menu, please inform the chef at that time so an alternative meal can be arranged. Breakfast - Served between 8am & 9am Breakfast includes your choice of items from a buffet cereal bar, locally made jams, jellies and marmalades, seasonal fruit, fresh baked items, juices, coffee, and a hot plate from the kitchen based on fresh farm eggs from our neighbours down the valley. Lunch - Served at 1pm by request only Packed, picnic lunches are a favourite with our adventure clients busy and on the go exploring the valley. Lunches can include sandwiches, soup, energy bars, and fresh fruit. Of course, lunch can also be requested to be served in the dining room of the lodge. Dinner - Served at 7pm by reservation only (not necessary to reserve if you are on a package) Dinner is the main meal of the day at the lodge and our chefs go all out to make something special every night. All meals incorporate locally grown, fresh organic produce, and herbs from the kitchen garden add fresh daily accents to each plate served. Seafood is also supplied locally and is caught wild in the waters off Bella Coola.
