We stopped at Clarry's Cafe for brunch when we saw how many locals were eating there and after noticing how expensive other cafes were in comparison in trendy Devenport. I would describe it as a spacious traditional café off the main tourist/pedestrian route which serves simple fare. The service was quick and efficient. They weren't big portions but the food... Nice place to stop fro snack or lunch, or just sweets + drink. Wonderful hot chocolate and always a lot to choose from.

Asian run cafe with little or no effort made on drinks or food. Unfortunately this is a trend I'm finding in Auckland now. I had a cheese and ham toastie and it was awful. Food is good for OAP's only and that's why the place is filled with them, and they love it. Fortunately for me I still have quite... More

The cafe is really fill with warm of family love. They made their own delicious pies, cookies and simple meal, they just make you feel at home. The decorations and a few paintings by local artist hanging on the wall to be appreciated and can be bought with a reasonable price. First time drop by this place but already fell... More

Go here all the time, selection in cabinets could be a little bigger but the cooked meals are very good and I like the relaxed atmosphere here. There is plenty to look at and read with paintings and newspapers

Such friendly staff and really good coffee. It's like a "local" - I often go here for coffee and always meet up with someone I know.

If you want a quick sandwich and a cup of tea in a metal pot, this is the place. Unpretentious, more for the older crowd.
