We stopped here for lunch while driving from Kloster Eberbach to Koblenz. It had been a rather circuitous route because sections of the road along the river were closed for roadworks. I chose the goulash. It was very good, packed with flavour. My wife chose the schnitzel and said it was one of the best she had eaten. Service was... More

We had a great lunch here. The salads with hanchenbrust (chicken) were tasty and large. I have some gluten issues so when they came out as deep fried with flour, they quickly re did the chicken to suit my needs. Very nice service. The waiter was very helpful and spoke excellent English. The dining rooms were cozy and intimate with... More

A quiet place for lunch this afternoon after visiting the Castle and taking the car ferry after taking the car ferry across the river. My wife had the Potato Soup--a bit bland. It was on the bland side. I had the Schnitzel in Rieslingsauce served with Croquettes. I enjoyed the sauce--it was very rich but the schnitzel was on the... More

Sunday late lunch turned into long waiting time. Schnitzel for the kids little burned on the top of all. Overall the place was clean and nice, also the rabbit by the entrance was fun, but if there are more than 2 tables occupied, rather look for another restaurant.

The food here is good, it was served a bit too fast, so we didn't have the feeling that it was made for us --more like a pre-made dish. However, the staff made up for it. They're very friendly that's a plus point.

We were looking for a nice local place to relax after spending the afternoon on the Loreley in the off season, and we were cold! After looking for some restaurants we came across this one. Walking through the door we knew we would love it. On the couch, there was a very large bunny napping the afternoon away. Sitting down,... More

walked into this restaurant by coincidence on the 2nd night of my 5 day trip to the Rhine area and went back every night to have more of their great food. The Sauerkraut with Kasseler rib is to die for and fortunately I was given the tips to try it at home and it worked! Great Flammkuchen and such a... More

Got into this place on a rainy afternoon for a glass of wine. Very friendly service and great ambiance. The place is decorated in a way fitting to the character of the old town! Ended eating there as well, had Saumagen and a superb schnitzel with Riesling sauce! Both dishes highly recommended!!
