visited the trooper for sunday lunch, was seated in the, 'lounge' area which has been refurbished since the last time we visited and looks fantastic! Although, slightly loud and cramped, but a great improvement however, could not fault the food or service! our waitress emma was friendly and attentive looking forward to our next visit

This was my first visit to this eatery and I went in search of some wagyu beef which is not easy to find in restaurants. I ordered the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly - juicy and delicious. A little costly compared to other premium beef but oh so worth it.

We went here as a group of 4 for Sunday lunch. It was the first time we had been and we were all impressed. The starters were all tasty and nicely presented, the mains were very generous (especially the roast beef and giant Yorkshire puds) and the desserts were delicious. At £20 for three courses, we all felt this was... More

Menu is diverse but if you like steak, you must try the Wagu beef .Pricey but worth it. Forget Miller & Carter - this is the best steak restaurant in the Midlands Great surroundings, good food but pricey - Perfect for that special night out.

We ordered two rounds of cheese and onion sandwiches as soon as we arrived as we had scanned the menu beforehand. However we did not get our order until half an hour after arriving and ordering. We asked three times what was happening as we had an appointment to make. We were told they were very busy however this was... More

This is the third time we have met up with friends from the Cotswolds at this lovely Pub/Restaurant. The staff are so warm & friendly, the food is excellent & the atmosphere is welcoming. We arrived just after noon & didn't leave till after 3.30 & although we were the only people there towards the end we were never hurried... More

I must say how disappointed I and others were following a meal on Friday 18th Nov. If waiting an hour for your meal to be served is usual for this place then I am surprised anyone goes there. When the meals did arrive two were wrong, one was returned because the ribs were too dry, those who had the large... More

went on a whim as relatives had been many years ago, we talked to the young lad about the bad trip advisor review and he explained it away and we ordered, say the 25% off ad on the menu and thought that's not too badly priced but that was for starters and puddings, we both had rump steak and I... Myself and my friends had a fab day Saturday afternoon 19/11/2016 for the bottomless prosecco and 3 course lunch. The service and food was fantastic and the alcohol flowed . Special thanks to the lovely Alex and Sarah. They were superb

We don't mind paying for expensive food, but not for poor pub grub. Have tried the Trooper three times before writing this review and on three occasions it was very poor.
