Decided to try somewhere new for breakfast with friends . Many years ago the Locksied used to be just a transport cafe .but they have defiantly gone up market now . I was glad I had the sense to ring up and book or I think it might have been a push to get in . The position of this... More

I had the best veggie meal in a long long time. And there was a good choice - as a veggie, I get get so bored with risotto etc in mainstream restaurants. We all enjoyed our meals. And to finish - a divine hot espresso served over vanilla clotted cream ice cream with amaretti biscuits ......

Visited with my parents for a birthday lunch. I had avocado, bread etc. The bread was basic and dry as was the whole salad. Should've been drizzled with balsamic vinegar and olive oil or something similar. Limited options for vegetarians. Took a while to come even though it wasn't busy. Disappointing for all.

My bro brought me here for breakfast just before 11 on a Friday morning. As he has been here before he took the wise decision to book a table, this saved us from standing outside too long. This area has been gentrified over the years, and parking during the week is an issue. The queue outside is a testament to... More

My absolute favourite place in Bristol for breakfast. On this visit I ordered the smoked salmon with poached eggs, bubble & squeak and hollandaise sauce, which was absolutely delicious! Exceptionally well run restaurant with superb quality food and service to match.

Visiting with my son in Bristol for the weekend, he was very keen to take us to this place for breakfast. I expected the usual awesome fry-up, but the menu was streets ahead of that. It was really busy, so do book. We didn't and reserved a table for 20 minutes hence, which gave us the opportunity to wander around... More

1st time visit to the lockside and breakfast was delicious. Booked a table as it can get very busy. Loads of choice, fresh orange juice and brilliant service. Great views of Clifton and the bridge too. Definitely going back, well worth the travel!!

Visited Saturday morning. God it was busy and I recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Having said that, we turned up off the cuff and was still lined after and fitted in with 10 minutes. It has a bright, clean almost elegant decor and views of the waterside. It was extremely busy as it was a 6 Nations weekend so we... More

Arrived with my partner and young son and walked up the steps (with a buggy). Found the entrance was the other side! However, the front of house invites us in through the trade entrance which was a nice touch. He seated us by the window with a great view of the harbour and couldn't be more accommodating for our son... More
