We finally found this great hidden little restaurant. The decor and atmosphere nice and relaxed. We had great wine and an INCREDIBLE Cotê du boeuf. We had some bread to start and of course extra peppercorn sauce during the main. When in came to making...More

A fantastic setting, low lighting, underground and very intimate once your eyes have adjusted. A pleasant and timely welcoming, with an area to wait for guests if you happen to be the first one of your party. Tables are well spaced although on the border...More

I just wanted to write a review of this great restaurant. I was in Bristol for New Year and ate here on Hogmanay. The place is really quirky and I loved the underground entrance and lack of signage. Added to the appeal. The interior was...More

The cheeseburger and fries are delish! Early steak deal with wine is good value and really tasty. Has a really cool, speakeasy look and feel too. Never had a pud, but they look good!

I went on a pre new years trip with my girlfriend and I must say it was a worthwile trip. The steak was extremely well made (medium/rare) and some very complementary sides. I definitely recommend the mac and cheese. If you are looking for a...More

A Christmas get together night out at the cinema with my sons started at The Ox. Walked passed it twice and then found it beneath Weatherspoons. Decor and layout was good. The boys had the 6oz fillet and I wanted more meat so opted for...More

With out a doubt the nicest steak restaurant in Bristol can’t wait to return! Everyone friendly and steak is to die for.

The rib eye steak was cooked to perfection; the triple cooked chips and charcoal mushrooms were delicious too. The only issue I had was with the sauce, as a change from the norm I went for the the bernaise sauce rather than my usual peppercorn,...More

So my fiancé took me here for my birthday at the end of November. Working in a steakhouse, I am difficult to impress when it comes to steaks. I ordered the fillet steak and I must say it was utterly delicious. However, complete lack of...More

It was fine - but just that. Having heard amazing reviews, we were a little disappointed. The starter selection was limited so we skipped that. The main course was nice, especially the fillet steak and the sides were plentiful. The dessert selection was also very...More

I wouldn't recommend this as a restaurant for children. I'm not sure whether they specifically exclude kids, but I would chose somewhere else to go with my tribe. Still an A++ 5* for the grown ups though!
