Visited on a Sunday morning and experienced very average service and the quality of the brunch was not anything to write home about. My latte was tepid in temperature. My eggs royale plate was stone cold. My wait for the food serving 7 took over 45minutes in an empty customer side restaurant that was full of staff meeting in anticipation... More

Just had a quick visit here during a sightseeing trip in Bristol and tried their Bailey's coffee. The interior looks nice and the coffee was alright.

Visited again after many good meals previously. Unfortunately this time it was a massive disappointment! Early hours Saturday, place nearly empty and we waited 40min (!!!!) for our food! No choice of children's breakfast which is fair enough as apparently there was no demand for it however the waiter offered toast and eggs but forgot (!) to mention that the... More

Where do I start - bad table, first choice food not available, dirty cutlery, food out at wildly different times, one steak half the size of the other, missing ingredients, we were significantly over-charged and then the waitress still put the 'optional' service charge on the card machine. Bah

Tadcrapulent, we regret that you had a negative experience with us, but are glad you brought this to our attention. Firstly, dirty cutlery is never acceptable, even if it was a rogue piece. With regards to your food, menu shortages do occur, especially on busy parts of the week, though we do try to order to avoid this happening too... More

There was a good range of food on the brunch menu with one of two really original options. The food and service were both excellent! Thank you.

I was with 3 other friends, we had to wait ages for drinks, service was really slow, and when the food came out starter was cold, on cold plates and bland. The main was overcooked dry and not very hot either. Seems they put all there effort into the decor, instead of service and produce.

Lovely surroundings/furnishings - we had afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon. There were quite a few of us and the waiter was very patient/friendly - afternoon tea was really good. Only advice is to check the bill as they already added service!

I had booked Afternoon tea with Champagne for 5 friends to celebrate my retirement Saturday 1st April. We were served the food and told if more tea was needed to just ask..which we did when we could attract someone's attention. Staff not very attentive, they didn't check if we need more milk when they brought us another pot of tea,... More

It was restored to its former glory in 1992 and is now very much part of the landscape.
