Having been recommended by my parents who had previously visited San Carlo Bristol, we returned as a family on a busy Sunday evening. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals out I have ever had! The design and look of the...More

My friends and I visited San Carlo on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Food doesn't generally excite me but this food did. It tasted devine, each plate looked fabulous and the service was exceptional. Loved it

Had been looking forward to celebrating my daughters Birthday at San Carlo which in the past has been a positive experience. Sadly we found the busy restaurant to be unfriendly and the service lacking in the personal touch that had set it above its competitors...More

The food is very tasty and the menu is particularly good if you like fish. On the pricey side but value for money due to the quality. If you are hard of hearing, bear in mind that the restaurant is noisy so can be difficult...More

My husband and I went for lunch at San Carlo a few weeks ago. It wasn't overly busy and looked lovely. We both had the two course lunch special 25.90 GBP - which had several to choose from. When I asked if the pasta was...More

Our first visit to this restaurant before going to the theatre. We booked, although I thought we wouldn't need to on a Monday evening, but we were wrong. It was busy which tells you a lot about its popularity. The look and feel of this...More

No picture of the menu but the prices are very reasonable, I think I had the shellfish for main and it was about £30, but that was at the top end of price range.

I would say smart casual but a jacket and tie would not look out of place. As an aside I would advise against choosing this restaurant for a special occasion. The food is good but the service is ridiculously rushed. It's... More

Description
San Carlo is a popular and award-winning Italian dining institution in the heart of Bristol's bustling Corn Street. The restaurant's lavish dining room – with tiled floors, neutral décor and electric blue accents – has a unique Mediterranean ambience and is always busy with a vibrant local crowd. The buzzy atmosphere, bold flavours and warm hospitality at San Carlo combine to provide an ideal setting for group parties and corporate events. We love the modern yet authentic seafood-led menu, and favourite dishes include the spaghetti with shellfish, garlic, chilli and fresh basil in a tomato sauce; the classic tuna carpaccio; and the traditional spiced Italian sausages cooked with Borlotti beans and served with grilled polenta.
