We went to this pub because of the DNA connection (Watson and Crick declared their findings there) and weren't disappointed. If you want a table to eat, you really need to book it...there were loads of people standing around, just having a pint of DNA beer and no free seats. The waiters were quick and the pies were meaty and flavoursome.... This is fantastic eatery and pub in central Cambridge. The RAF bar is usually packed and it is full of RAF memorabilia. It is also where the key to DNA was discovered. The food is good and wholesome pub food.

This is a good traditional pub near the colleges which we have been to several times and have enjoyed our visits. We visited lunchtime in late May when the pub was busy although not full and sat outside in a courtyard. It took ten minutes to be served as there were only two staff behind the bar I used and... Booked a table for Friday 19th May lunchtime, arrived 5mins early to find a mix up with booking so no reserved table. The pub was absolutely packed, finally found us a table, very cramped for space. We ordered meal at the bar, (fish and chips x3 and 1 Veggie Risotto), waited over an hour for meal to be served, very... More

My girlfriend and I came here on a Wednesday lunchtime or a hot sunny day. We have been here a few times and never left a review. When we arrived the place was packed outside and inside and although hard to find a table we eventually did in the corner. Has a wide variety of dishes but we decided not... More

This old pub was frequented by Watson and Crick, discoverers of DNA. It is a traditional pub. Find a table, then go to the bar and place your order and pay, Then take your beer and go and relax. Great place to engage students and visitors in conversation. The food is pub fare. We ate here twice and had fish... More

The Eagle is a wonderful old English pub located in the very heart of Cambridge very close to the old historic colleges. Lot's of beers and good pub lunch!

We went to the Eagle for a work evening out. The beers and service behind the bar was good and efficient but the food was very poor quality and tasteless. Also, the bar tender kept rushing us to leave the premises just after 11pm although there were plenty of people still sitting around drinking. Overall, quite disappointed with this establishment.

We had a delicious lunch at this historic pub. There is a wide selection of dishes at reasonable prices. You order at the bar, get your drinks (huge selection) , give your table number and your choices arrive promptly.
