The restaurant is slightly tucked away in the Grosvenor hotel, but it is worth the effort to find. The Michelin star is well deserved, with three or perhaps four entremets. More importantly my duck ragout with Pedro Jimenez brioche was outstanding, my turbot good and...More

Having taken my partner out for a meal as a birthday treat, resulting in a bill amounting to over £300 I was extremely disappointed to be treated in such a discriminatory way. The waiter preferentially offered the wine tasting to my partner without even acknowledging...More

The menu was full of variety and our chosen dishes arrived quickly. Both starters and mains were mouth-wateringly delicious. The mohitos were well made so all in all a great if slightly expensive meal in a hotel restaurant that definitely had a great buzz.

My husband booked this special meal for our 40th wedding Anniversary. The staff were aware of this and congratulated us, which was lovely. We felt spoilt from the time we entered the Grosvenor to when we left. We opted for the Tasting Menu with the...More

With the North West being a bit of a culinary desert when it comes to fine dining, we were looking forward to eating here. Whilst there's no denying the food is good and the service attentive (as they both should be), it all feels a...More

We had not eaten here before and booked it as a special treat during our stay in Chester. It was a total delight. We had the tasting menu and wine flight. We swapped one course for one from the veggie taster and that was no...More

Went as a treat for some business guests. While the staff are very hard working and personable, the impression is of over-fussiness and rather too many people doing work that 2/3 of their number could manage perfectly well. Waiting 10 minutes while the "special home-cooked...More

We stayed one night in the hotel and booked into the restaurant. We both had the tasting menu and whilst my husband enjoyed the whole menu as a pescatarian I was able to dip between the usual menu and vegetarian tasting menu; all courses were...More

Booked as a surprise birthday / silver anniversary by my OH. As expected, perfect service from start to finish. We opted for the 8 course vegetarian taster menu. We hadn’t tried this before and thought we might still be hungry after but it’s surprising how...More

Hi there, The tasting menu wine flight is priced at £49.50 or bottles on the list start at approximately £28. There is also a great choice of wines by the glass or carafe.

Hi there, The wines are an additional add on to the menu as not everyone wants the flight. Thanks

Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, has held a Michelin star for nineteen years running surely a record outside of London. Under the direction of Executive Chef Simon Radley the exceptional modern British menu changes seasonally and uses only the finest ingredients. The cellar is also renowned, having one thousand bins and a sommelier of prodigious knowledge. The dining room itself is as dashing as you would expect with comfy chairs, oriental carpets, fine woods, original artwork, ebony pillars and many-layered tones of gold and taupe. The service is distinguished by its warmth and professionalism. Top marks.
