This pub is not far from a friends house and he had chosen this for his birthday gathering. We where in what looked like a very nice extension on the back, it was very nicely designed and a buffet was put out for us to eat, this food was excellent it was homemade and tasted so good and would highly... We visited as guests to a friends birthday party, it was held in a side extension which was very smart! We had a convivial afternoon, there was a buffet served which was excellent, all in all very good

Two of the Pizza's had topping on only half of the base and another of the Pizza's was undercooked and had to be returned. To be honest this is uncharacteristic of the RoB but maybe they are getting complacent. Having said that, full marks to the waitresses who deal with our complaints efficiently. Pull your socks up chaps.

We hadn't booked but were shown to a good table and warned we needed to vacate by 3. This was no problem as we were doing other things later, but indicates that even Monday evenings are popular! We sat in the modern light & airy extension: the old part of the pub has also been modernised to provide a comfortable... More

Was a spontaneous visit, whilst waiting for family member having hair restyled at Aveda: Nicholas Harvey across road. I asked "Roxi" if the establishment allowed dogs, much to my delight she replied totally professionally "yes we do ofcourse around the front to separate room ideal for dogs, but we will require room back prior 3pm event, you're more than welcome".... We visited as a family of six adults for Sunday lunch. The service and ambience of the restaurant are good, but there were some issues with the food. I had the trio of meats roast and the beef was quite tough and gristley. There was also inadequate amount of vegetables for six people. We waited for some more to be... More

If you're visiting Chester you could do much worse than pay a visit to Christleton. The village itself is pretty and the cricket club has one of the most attractive grounds in Cheshire. The focal point of the village is the Ring O'Bells, a friendly pub serving a wide range of beers, many of them from local microbreweries. The Sozzled... More
