Stumbled on this place by accident and what a find. Lovely country style pub with friendly helpful staff. We ate here and the food was great. This pub also has a lovely coal fire that was very welcome on the cold evening that we visited....More

Good food selection, friendly and engaging staff can get busy at times, recomend booking for busy times, even when busy food is quick to arrive after ordering. Popular with dog walkers due to the close proximity of the canal

We have passed the signs to the Cheshire Cat on many occasions, but never at the right time to stop. Today we decided to escape from the decorators by paying the restaurant a visit. It is an imposing building set back from the main road....More

For a 'significant' birthday treat, we took our Sister-in-Law & her husband to this lovely pub/restaurant just outside my wife's home-city. A cold, damp night, but a warm welcome & lovely corner table was reserved for us. The menu was varied, well described, and good...More

We booked to go to the Cheshire Cat at the last minute. It was £30 for a 3 course meal that included a disco and fireworks! What fantastic value for money. The food was great and our waitress, Emma, who had lots of other tables...More

Attended a funeral wake here in October. Bar staff were attentive, food available was acceptable though choice was a little strange. Must say I quite liked the place and will contemplate visiting again.

I have been here several times for Sunday lunches (always good value with friendly efficient service) but never for an evening meal. The pub is a former grand house so dining rooms are split over 4 large areas, there are cosy corners near open fires...More

We called in for a mid afternoon meal. Probably the best time to go. It wasn't too busy & we were quickly given a table.

We come here quite often, mainly because they allow (well behaved) dogs in certain areas of the bar so all of the family can enjoy a meal out. Good quality food with a decent choice on the menu for all tastes and requirements. I think...More
