Normally visit a well known chain of coffee shops in Chester most Saturday mornings. Lately have been fed up with the awful coffee served there. Called in here and greeted by friendly staff which really does make a difference. It was early in the morning, so still very quite. We ordered two coffee's and two Danish pastries. Lovely large cups... More

Really good coffee and freshly made milkshakes for the children. Also a good range of cakes. Friendly helpful staff.

This coffee shop has a lovely atmosphere and is a good value for money. The staff are excellent. Couldn't ask for more!

Never been before and was looking for somewhere other than these awful coffee chains. Ordered a slice of apple pie and an Americano. Both were very enjoyable and very reasonably priced (around £4.50 for both). The apple pie was delicious and a really good portion complete with cream. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the staff were extremely pleasant... More

Happy to go back for another break. Relaxing music, pleasant service , spotless in every corner and the smooth smell of coffee playing in the background . A place for friends to gather. (20/11/16)

Went to Chester on Saturday and was in need of a good coffee! Found Cinderbox on my travels and can't fault anything! Max, Liam and Nicole were all fantastic, brilliant coffee and great hospitality. Will definitely come again!

Visited and reviewed here before and it really is my fave Chester coffee shop. Popped in today (Sunday) and was surprised how quiet it was at the height of lunchtime. Even so I enjoyed a cheese and chutney pannini and a coffee. Coffee is really great here one of the best I've had anywhere. Nice staff nice atmosphere. Instantly working... More

Sat outside with my friend ... Ordered an Americano with milk on the side, a flat white, a Danish and a bacon sandwich. One coffee arrived with no milk. Next coffee arrived five minutes later. Danish had been heated up and had tissue paper stuck to the bottom ( that's because the cold Danish I swapped it for was stale!)... More
