We stay at the Grosvenor annually but this will be the last time we eat in La Brasserie.. On our most recent stay the staff were lovely and so attentive and friendly but oh my goodness it was confused and chaotic despite NOT being that...More

Was allocated a private table as requested, service was impeccable, gentleman called Ben was fantastic as our server. Food was lovely but was delivered to wrong table first and slightly wrong order on the side dishes. However, it was a nice evening. Slightly overpriced for...More

We were not sure whether to go to this renowned brasserie on visit to chester given the mixed recent reviews on trip advisor. However we undertook a walk past and were very impressed with look of place externally and Internally and so decided to give...More

We usually eat here when we are in Chester and have seldom been disappointed. The ambience is excellent and beautifully cooked and prepared. Although a little expensive, it is well worth the extra, Staff are the highlight of both the hotel and the Brasserie. They...More

We expected much more from this restaurant. First, the drinks that we ordered took 20 minutes to make. The service was not good at all and the manager was very rude to us. However, the meal was good but nothing special. We had a fillet...More

We haven't been here in a while having spent many an evening dining clients here for a number of years. We called in for some cocktails and light bites which require no booking. The recent comments around 'poor service' I think are harsh, we were...More

We had a short trip to Chester for a birthday celebration. Booked the Brasserie as treat. Wanted a drink in the bar area whilst reading the menu. Shown a table and told it was table service. Plenty of staff walking about- plumping up cushions as...More

Used to come here years ago with my Aunt on my annual visit to Chester. Thought I'd pop in to see how it had changed. Were seated quickly but without drinks menus initially. A window seat became available so moved but my partner waited at...More

Good food, friendly and professional service. Cocktails are excellent. The Brasserie is an AA 2 rosette at time of writing and this a fair reflection of the food and service.

This was booked as a bit of a treat for our last night in Chester. Things didn't go well but at least they took one meal completely off the bill in recognition. We should have known when we took a seat as suggested and no...More

Description
With a relaxed Parisian style atmosphere La Brasserie is the perfect place for a coffee, a cocktail or a leisurely meal. The black leather sofas, sleek granite tabletops and hand-painted glass skylight all add to the feeling of French sophistication, and the Josper grill produces food superior both in taste and quality.
