My sincere apologies,we had a staffing situation and opened later than planned,sorry your Grandad only met the kitchen porter,who being only 17 is not used to meeting the public,hence his nervous response.

Always have a great time here. Friendly staff and plenty of choice with drinks. Small menu for food but all of it is top notch. Definitely worth the walk up the hill to reach it!

We have had a great experience here today with what has got to be one of the best roast dinners I have ever had. The portions were large and the quality of food great! Staff very chatty and friendly. Dogs welcome too
