The men's toilets are that small you could sit on the loo and wash your hands at the same time. They need to spend some of this year's profit on some improvements to the toilets. That said the food was very good. This little restaurant dose not stand out from all the rest. But it should (first impressions and all... More

We went to this restaurant as we had good food last year 2016, unfortunately our experience over the Easter weekend 2017 was less than satisfactory. We ordered the cottage pie and veg. It took less than 5 mins to arrive and when my partner started eating the mashed swede she found it was still frozen. I called over the waitress... More

I wish I could give "half stars" as I'd rate our experience as a 3.5! I think maybe we chose the wrong thing, as we'd been previously and had fish cakes, which were delicious. This time we had the full English, and I was disappointed that the sausages were those cheap and nasty catering sort, and the hash browns were... More

We visited this cafe/restaurant by chance on our recent visit to Looe. In appearance it just looks like an everyday cafe, with plastic tablecloths and muted decor. However do not let this put you off. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful, hot and very tasty. We had Sirloin steak with chips and a chicken dopiaza. We... More

Visited Looe and found Archies , very welcoming and we both had homemade Cottage Pie with cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, swede and green beans with gravy . Generous portions and good value at £6.95 well worth a visit. One thing of note was the lady asked if everything was o.k.and sounded like she meant it, nice touch. Good home cooking.

Group of 11. We have eaten here in the past a couple of times, and all really enjoyed it. Service was great. My beer (Hop 2 It) was excellent. In the past I've always had the Seafood Spaghetti, which is excellent. This time I thought I'd opt for the Fish & Chips. I wish I hadn't. The batter was soggy... More

Called in on a visit to Looe. The first thing that struck us was the plastic table cloths and the basic interior, which lacked any kind of atmosphere. The decor was plain and did not exude any form of a 'welcoming ambiance' The staff really must get their act together, as the young waitress was very uncertain and had to... More

We had called in to this cafe/restaurant earlier during the afternoon, and secured a table for the evening. At the time I was a little unsure, as the appearance was more cafe than restaurant, with plastic/oil skin table coverings, it looked just a little down market. But we stuck with it, and that evening duly turned up for dinner. We... More

We called in here for our last meal in Looe before driving back to Cambridgeshire after taking my elderly father for a holiday here. The Sunday lunch we had was scrumptious! The portion sizes were big and the various roast meats cooked to perfection. I have to admit that they were every bit as good as my own home-cooked roasts,... More
