This is a small cafe above a cake shop. The access is via a staircase (no lift) & has a limited number of seats. The food is excellent & reasonably priced but the cafe could be quite busy in summer.

Whenever I am in Newquay and in dire need of a cream tea I never look further than Paulines. You get a descent pot of tea, not a mug like other less reputable establishments and the scones are delicious. You are also able to request more cream and jam as required at no extra cost, what's not to love about... More

My family and I visited Pauline's for a cream tea. Although the upstairs has limited seating we were not waiting to long to be seated. Once we had placed our orders the service was quick and efficient. The staff are friendly and the cream teas are scummy. There is ample jam and cream but if you do happen to run... More

Spent an enjoyable day in lovely Newquay and decided to treat ourselves to a cream tea, we chose Pauline's after viewing the tempting selection of cakes in the window and we were not disappointed. The cheesecake was superb and the cream teas went down a treat. Nice friendly staff well worth a visit

Best cream cakes we tried them all, good value for money. Nice sandwiches and rolls generously filled with good selection of ingredients. Nice little team room upstairs but its always full. Good service even if the staff have trouble with accents and maybe they could be a little more mature if they can't understand people. Apart from that a good... More

Wandering through Newquay town centre when I found my boyfriend staring into the shop window of this lovely place! Originally it was the lemon cheesecake that caught his eye, until he spotted the scones with jam & cream! Served by a lovely lady in the shop who was chatty and friendly! We walked away with 4 scones with clotted cream... More

Now what I liked was getting a proper pot of tea with one of hot water. The teapot was a bit leaky mind. The scones tasted beautiful but were not as risen as I would have preferred. Staff were pleasant enough but no more than that.

What a choice of fresh cakes ! The strawberry cheesecake had just the right amount of sweetness and was creamy and lip-lickingly tasty ! Enjoy, then have a brisk coastal walk to use up those calories!
