We stayed at the Griffin Inn for 3 nights 3-5 April. It was very easy to find and in a good location in the town, not far from the sea front. Spacious car park for residents and lift to the rooms on first floor which was very useful for my mum who was celebrating her 83rd birthday. Handy bar and... More

We usually visit the Griffin when we are in Newquay - it is just around the corner from where we stay, and it is a quiet family-orientated pub. Sometimes we just have a drink there, and sometimes have a meal - and when we do eat there, the food is very good.

My husband and I stayed at the griffin for a week, all of the staff were very helpful and the holiday was no effort for us. The hotel was central for us as we were able to go off to other Cornish towns as day trips. The Griffin is very central for people looking for an active holiday. There are... More

The resturant is a nice sie, not too big with swams of people, the service was great, staff that are able to share a little banter. Food was fab, 5 steaks all cooked to perfection and great value for money.

Once we eventually ordered desert, ice cream wasn't available, and i wasnt even given the chance to pick something else. They assumed i liked cream! but strange enough the table behind had ice cream shortly after we had finished ours. I then complained... More

We booked this pub for a family meal with 9 people, 3 of which had dietary requirements, the carvery was lovely range of meats and vegetables. Tina was incredibly helpful and the chefs created a dairy free desert for one of our group.

We took two small children here for dinner while staying in Newquay and it was great. They are child friendly and serve great food that comes out hot and fresh. The staff are also very pleasant and friendly and hospitable. I would recommend this pub/carvery/restaurant over the other pubs in Newquay if you want a calm, well run place to... More

Been here a few years ago, was good then and is still great for evening dinner in the bar. Had a rump steak dinner, was perfect. Staff very friendly. Not a lot of parking, back car park was full at 5.45. Had to park on road.
