Called into the Crumplehorn on a wet and cold lunchtime to be met by a welcoming log fire. Good pint of Tribute to accompany a very good home made cottage loaf pie, and a large portion of it as well. My wife had the cod and chips, again well cooked and large portion.

Scampi & Chips: chips luke warm - scampi really poor quality was advertised as wholetail but could hardly find any scampi meat. Chicken burger: chips luke warm - chicken like shoeleather. Lemon Meringue Pie: was a cash and carry staple - was certainly not home made as advertised. Very disappointed.

Excellent meal and very well priced, we went on Xmas eve so we booked, it was busy but service was good, staff so friendly and the food plentiful.

Hope you are hungry when visiting here! Portions are very generous and the food is excellent. My son ordered the home made fish fingers, they were amazing. I had the most delicious sausage and onion bap (sausages were so tasty), hubby and Mum had the BLT bap, equally as generous with the filling. Good value with 4 meals, 1 J2O... More

We went for evening food we had a lovely table round the back of the bar -very quaint pretty place with fairy lights and cosy seating. Food was marvellous and was well presented. Would definitely recommend to fellow travellers but book ahead !

called in here for lunch, as we had a dog with us we were restricted to one small part of the bar. unfortunately this was the worst part of the bar; not a very warm welcome, but everyone's different. we went elsewhere for lunch.
