We have been to St Andrew's Street Bistro twice and both times the food and choice were superb. The chef is first class. The staff are friendly and efficient and know exactly how to explain the details of the various dishes on the menu. Gluten Free options are available. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. We can highly recommend a... More

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years and it never fails to impress! The staff are friendly and helpful, the wine great and an excellent menu choice. The food is well presented and delicious. Our only slight complaint was that the main course was upon us as soon as we finished our starters which meant we couldn't fully... More

We went to celebrate our friend's anniversary and we're really impressed with the setting and menu choice. In fact we were so impressed with the menu choice it took me ages to choose! However, given that, we arrived at 8 and had been served and finished two courses by 9!! It would have been lovely to have had a more... More

Visited again, this time with three guys friends and found food excellent (and different - don't come if you want steak or fish and chips) and service really personal and friendly. This is a place you will leave with a smile on your face.

We visited the bistro the day after my wife had suffered a fall leaving her with a somewhat bashed about face. I had warned them that we might not be able to attend so they knew of her injuries and owner Neil made a point of coming to see how she was and the rest of the staff were kindness... More

I agree with Jax from St Austell, a beautiful bistro with good service and attentive waitresses, but really let down by the chef, I was totally sold on the idea of giving old bistro classics a new twist, but the Coq au vin with Cornish chorizo, was hugely disappointing, gristly chicken served in a white wine sauce, the chorizo took... Walk around St Ives and you can become bemused by the number and variety of food establishments. I've never seen so many bakeries and pasty places in one town. However you can probably count on the fingers of one hand the really worthwhile places to eat. St Andrew's Street Bistro is definitely among them. It's a family affair. Dad's the... More
