We were fortunate when we visited here because the rain stopped and the sun was shining so we sat outside on the harbour side at the cafe's dedicated tables and chairs. We shared a mackerel pate and bread with some chips and a glass of wine. Very tasty and fresh and not expensive.

Had lunch here on a very rainy day in St Mawes. I had Brie and cranberry on ciabatta which was gorgeous and my other half had coronation chicken sandwich. Both delicious. The coffees and fabulous strawberry mousse cake were great, served by efficient and friendly staff in a small but perfect cafe overlooking the Harbour (when we could see through... More

Called in here as we were waiting for the Falmouth ferry ⛴ for a quick coffee. Lovely to look out onto the harbour. Hot chocolate for very good as was the coffee. We not made to feel very welcome which really put a damper on the occasion.

We stopped here for a light lunch and something to drink. The staff are very friendly and sitting out the front on a sunny day is lovely. Would go again

Stopped for a quick cup of tea/coffee whilst waiting for the ferry. The owners are a very nice couple and the place has a friendly, family atmosphere.

While waiting for the ferry to Falmouth the Chandlers is a great place to catch a quick bite. Located on the quayside you can watch the activity in the small harbour and even see the ferry arrive - no excuse for missing it.

Delicious beetroot soup, also had the carrot which was good. The scones were representative of the high standards set in Cornwall. I just wish they had told me about the 20minute delay to collect my takeaway soup before I had completed my payment transaction.

Great spot to sit in the sun and enjoy picturesque St Mawes - but don't just wander in and order. The cakes on display are not priced, but they are priced on the menus which are easily available. You may not wish to pay over £4 for a slice of cake.

It was our first visit to St Mawes, which is a really pretty little fishing town on the Roseland peninsular. The 'season' doesn't start until the April so a few places were not open, but we spotted this one opposite the miniscule car-park by the Quay which we were lucky enough to find a space in! The Chandlers is attached... More
