I had tea and cheese scones, and my husband had a beer. Both the tea and beer were local and the scones had obviously been made that day. As we sat and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, people popped in and out just for a chat...and well-wishes. It’s the sort of place you would dream of having; a tea house and amazing bakery by the sea. What a delightful place! I sort refuge out of the rain after a long walk around the castle. I ordered an absolutely delicious burger and warmed myself by the fire. I was on a solo holiday and sometimes it be a little hard finding somewhere...to eat where you feel comfortable being on your own but tucked in the corner next to the heater, I couldn’t have been more comfortable. The staff where friendly and welcoming too!!More

We went to Charlie’s after visiting Tintagel Castle. We were lucky enough to get a table inside (esp as it started raining shortly after we arrived). It’s a small cafe with only a few tables inside and out, but it’s beautifully quaint. Lovely warm welcome...from the staff. Great gluten free options. I went for a Brie salad with chips and my partner had the crab sandwich and chips. The salad and chips were absolutely delicious. I didn’t want it to end. We ended up staying for coffees and a cookie as the weather carried on raining. They had a cherry gluten free cookie, which was massive and delicious. I wished I hadn’t offered to share it with my partner. We ate every bit of our lunch. Everything was excellent. The cafe was packed and there was never a spare seat. People were even eating outside in the rain. It’s that good. Highly recommend Charlie’s. Really lovely staff too.More

We had pulled pork rolls with a bbq mayo. Really tasty and they came with a small side salad which was also nice and tasty. Afterwards we had millionaire brownies. Also 2 latte’s. Great service and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely return.

We popped in for a late lunch and it did not disappoint at all, we had possible the best sandwiches we’ve ever had! The crab sandwich with the homemade onion and turmeric bread was sensational, the coffee is great and hot chocolate with all the...toppings was lovely. We left with an assortment of cheeses, beer and of course had to grab a loaf of that bread to take with us! If we were locals we’d visit everyday, the food was fantastic and staff were absolutely lovely.More

Don’t miss this spot We didn’t do any research just popped in for a tea and saw the menu and decided to eat. The lobster roll was wonderful and their fresh bread was fantastic! Lovely service and great lunch. Also great prices on their gin,...etc cheaper than anywhere we have seen. My partner claims best sandwich he’s had this year!More

Stopped here for lunch. Food was excellent. The prawn sandwiches were lovely. Bread was fresh, the herb mayo was a chance to the norm. Scones were warm from the oven. Tea and coffee were great. Service was efficient and pretty speedy. Would go again.

We stopped here for a cream tea, the scones were baked fresh. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We sat inside which was lovely and quaint however if you get a table outside, even better. They have a good lunch selection too.
