Visited the restaurant early evening on Saturday. Asked for a window seat upstairs, which we got. Our waiter Daniel was excellent, very friendly & efficient. Both my husband & I had fillet steaks, which were cooked to perfection. Hats off to the chef. I asked...More

Wonderful restaurant, amazing food and service at very reasonable prices! The Breton fish stew was delicious, it was difficult to choose as so many yummy things on the menu. We shared a bottle of Muscadet Sue Lie for £18.50 which was excellent, the waiters and...More

A very nice 2 storey restaurant located in the pleasant historical surroundings of Exeter town near the Cathedral. Food was very good and service excellent, all apart from the Grand Marnier desert which was that potent we all agreed it was dreadful so avoid!

The specials are very, very, good value. And the Staff attentive and polite. Refreshing not to have been called Guys with a lady with me. And also not getting the response of no worries to any questions.

I often go here for breakfast, which is lovely. The service is excellent - the best in Exeter. The menu hasn’t changed in the last two years which isn’t great - however the standards are good and you always know what you’re going to get.

We came here as we know that they offer gluten free food. In comparison to all other Cotes Brasserie establishments when the food arrived it was not labelled as gluten free and the waitresses were confused which meal was gluten free. This was disappointing and...More

Hustle bustle on a Friday night and lots of girls, so it's noisy til they thin out at 10pm. Mention choices good, including £27 celebratory one for 3 courses. Mussels, ham hock and charcuterie all excellent and keenly priced. Fillet stakes with fries also excellent,...More

Booked lunch for a party of twelve. Received a friendly welcome and shown to the reserved table. Despite our numbers we received excellent, prompt and attentive service. We all chose the set lunch menu (£10.95 and £12.95)and were all delighted with our choices: minute steak...More

This is the second time that we've been to Exeter CB and my husband ordered a repeat of the chicken salad, whilst I went for the September special confit of duck. Unfortunately his chicken tasted 'odd' due to some issue with the grill, so we...More

Was taken here by visiting family on a busy Saturday evening. Was seated upstairs which felt very over-crowded and noisy which meant two of our party struggled with hearing impediments. Food okay, nothing noteworthy, and my husband said his steak was fairly tough and had...More

Hi there, Sorry for the late response as I've been out of circulation. There is parking in Southernhay; free after 6:00pm, and there are several car parks within 5-10 minutes walking distance.

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities. Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.
