Visited at lunch time, so only had the bacon & brie baggette, despite a large menu available. Really enjoyed it and good value, and would return for it again. The bar area looked nice , but we sat in the childrens play room to eat so our little one can play. Large car park.

We went to a firm,s meal last Saturday, starter looked good but was warm & should have been hot. Roast Potatoes good, meat good, but the separate vegetables were all mushy, looked as if they had been kept warm for a long time,& there was at least half an inch of water in the the bottom, that the vegetables all coloured each... Had dinner for 9 on a Saturday. Bar staff really helpful in accommodating us on a busy night. Enjoyed the Otter and good priced wine ( though not much choice ). Very extensive pub type menu but with number of specials. Several of us plumped for the steaks which were tender and well cooked. Waiting service attentive and efficient. Overall... More

We booked a second birthday party here for my son. It was a low key celebration and only a few of us but the service was brilliant. Helpful, friendly staff made the occasion really special. As a vegan, i really appreciated having some bespoke vegan options on the menu as well. We'll be back!

We needed to re-arrange my daughters baby shower with only a couple of days to spare. The twisted oak happily obliged, sorted the tables ( even if we did re-arrange them) put balloons out and we're extremely helpful. The food was very tasty and service with a smile, thank you very much :-D

After a very busy day and a long train trip we decided to call in to the Twisted Oak for food. We had a nice meal but although they were not busy we waited quite a long time before our order was taken and even longer before we were asked if we wanted dessert. Having been there before we have... More

Called in Sunday around 2:30 safe in the knowledge that food is served all day. Quickly shown to a nice table by a friendly waitress. Carvery looked good; chef serving there was very helpful. Food arrived promptly and was great. After lunch nipped outside to the lovely garden for my daughter to enjoy the play equipment. Can't go wrong here... More

We were told to try this place as it had an outdoor and indoor play area for the kids. It looked lovely from the outside but when we got in, what a stench!! The most disgusting smell was coming from the indoor place area which leaked out into the eating area. It was so bad, I couldn't finish my drink... More

I wish you had made us aware on your visited your concerns to the smell. It's a strange one to me what it could have been we haven't had any other remarks occasionally being a kiddies playroom there could have been a dirty nappy smell which is out of our control but if made aware we could sort. I hope... More
