This place came recommended so I thought I would give it a try. Friendly service but the food really was not good. Probably the worst chicken tikka masala I have ever had - far too much sauce that was seriously over sweetened (& coloured) with a few bits of tasteless chicken. Will not be back and would not recommend!

Randomly popped in on a Friday night, the restaurant wasn't too busy so even without a reservation we were able to sit and have a meal. Staff very friendly and the dining room warm and cosy- exactly what you need on a very cold night. I am overall satisfied by the food, nice flavors, good quality and cooked on the... More

I have never been disappointed at this Indian restaurant, food always tasty and delicious. I am a little boring and have the onion bahgees and tandoori mixed grill, mainly because I enjoy it so much. Beautifully presented and very enjoyable

I bought a chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, rice and naan bread cost £17, both curries were tasteless and no flavour in the naan. It was the worse takeaway I've ever bought very disappointing!! Sorry cafe India but this was bad!

Had a fabulous evening with friends and the food was absolutely amazing. Great choice of menu and flavours. The service was pretty good too. Will definitely go back again soon.

We turned up for a goodbye to a close friend who was going abroad to work. 16 of us were ushered upstairs to a mezzanine type level. We hadnt even all sat down before a waiter came up to tell us to keep the noise down and we were stamping our feet!!! We were extremely polite and assured them we... More

If you have large groups, I wouldn't entertain this place. ! We were told to keep the noise down not even 5 mins after we arrived. We weren't noisy, infact we were upstairs out the way. I am totally disgusted and feel disappointed for our friends who came all the way from Bristol. Great night in the end, Eastern Eye... More

Saturday night meal with my wife. This was our first visit Cafe Indiya for approx 10 years as we moved away from Plymouth and had children. The restaurant was busy on a Saturday night and we had not booked. Despite this, the team found us a table after only a short wait. I had the Monghul Lamb Balti and my... More

This is the first Indian meal we have had since moving down from Birmingham so the stakes were high. The food is excellent - chicken succulent and the beef tender. Naan bread was great. Poppadoms were char grilled which was different. The sauce was as good as any we had had in brum not too sweet and not over spiced... More
