Just on passing we liked the look of place and it had 5 scores on door. I had one of the nicest tasting cup of Assam tea ever. Served in an individual pot with tea leaves, tea strainer and milk jug - great. We didn't eat so no comment on food. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Always been here for a bit of a treat, but so disappointed on this visit. Menu greatly reduced since last visit, once we eventually got our orders taken food took 45 mins to arrive. Again another disappointing experience my daughters pasty and chips had been dumped on plate and pasty was cold in the middle. My toast was just warm... More

Popped in for coffee on visit for totnes and had tea cake as well. Staff friendly and cafe nice and clean. Obviously popular with locals . We didnt have meal but others dining there were served with dinners which looked good and according to them tasted good too. Will pop back to eat on our next visit.

Stopped here for lunch today as it looked the part ..... oldie worldly. The table layout is a little messy but the service from the young waitresses v good! We went for a pasty and a bowl of soup. Sadly, the pasty was not seasoned too well and contained more of a minced consistency? And ... my hate, had been... More

On a day out we were looking for a place to have a nice cup of coffee and we definitely made the right choice when we chose Anne of Cleeves tearooms. Full of character and very helpful, happy staff. The place was busy with people eating light lunches which all looked really nice. We opted for a slice of coffee... More

My wife ordered a toasted sandwich of bacon and cheese and I ordered scrambled eggs with smoked salmon brioche which was OK but a pity I had to search for the salmon. The eggs was plentiful but a dull yellow colour which suggests the eggs were not free range. Not the best of experience for the price paid. We regretably... More

Very atmospheric, full of olde-worlde charm, as well as offering piping-hot teas and coffees (including less-traditional but still excellent lattes and cappuccinos). There is a wide selection of traditional cakes and pastries on offer - carrot cake, coffee and walnut, Victoria sponge, scones, almond slice, all very English and civilised! We were not sure whether the restaurant has an actual... More

Friends and I used to frequent this tea room when it was managed well and used to be enjoyable. Then things changed in staff and so did the quality of service. We often had sunday meals there (when they didn't run out) and the younger staff were excellent. What a shame things had to change, as the coffee was good,... More

We went to visit Totnes during our holidays in that area. We thoroughly enjoyed our coffee with scone and tea cake. The restaurant was very clean and the service very prompt. The restaurant was full to capacity all the time. Seating arrangement was so tight at the end we had to squeeze past the sitting customers.

Tea and cakes were fine but service was poor. The waitress had to check our order (2 teas and 2 cakes) three times. We asked for extra hot water but it never came.
