Sadly this place used to be brilliant but it has lost it's edge. Been a few months since an unenjoyable visit last time so we thouhgt we would give it another chance today. Whilst ambience and service was great sadly the food was not. Over...More

We ordered a couple of vegetarian starters/apero. Cheese platter was excellent, with high quality, interesting cheeses. Also had dates stuffed with blue cheese. An interesting Champagne from Spain - so interesting wine choices too. Did not enjoy the dessert as much, however.

My girlfriend and I ate at The Larder House for the first time on Saturday evening, and despite booking three weeks prior could only manage an early 6:45pm sitting. The popularity of the restaurant speaks volumes, by 7:30pm the place was full. We both chose...More

Really lovely meal at The Larder House a couple of weeks ago. It's certainly a hipster place but I have no issue with that as the food was so delicious and the waiter very friendly. I had the duck and chorizo pasty with creamed lentils...More

I can't imagine so. Never heard of a restaurant lending tennis racquets! Why would they?

Description
BREATHING NEW LIFE IN TO DORSET’S FOOD AND DRINK SCENE Founder James Fowler (2014 World Class UK Bartender of the year) and his highly skilled & dedicated team are breathing a refreshing and much needed, new life into East Dorset’s food and drink scene. Infused with traditions of bygone eras and through continuous researching into the greatest foods from around the U.K & Europe, The Larder House is rapidly winning the hearts of the countries foodie elite and local residents. A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE & ATMOSPHERE LIKE NO OTHER. The wood fired oven is at the core of the restaurant & bar, but what’s most inspiring is the seamless synergy between the kitchen and front of house. The enthusiasm is abundant and the research that goes into their offering is intriguing. This ensures that everything you order has a story to tell, be it their range of unordinary back bar spirits or the range of charcuterie & cheeses that they showcase.
