An out of Season visit to this gem with friends from work. Despite the off season and poor weather the staff were on top form! Our party of ten were well looked after, a couple of menu requests easily dealt with and an unobtrusive but attentive service. Cannot recommend enough!

Situated at the eastern end of Swanage beach, this diner offers really nice food and drink in a modern bistro atmosphere - prices are good and the young staff enthusiastic and attentive - definitely a nice place for lunch / afternoon tea and cake / supper - recommended !

Our visit started promisingly enough with a friendly greeting a warm atmosphere. For a wintery Friday night it was fairly busy which we took as a positive sign. We had been recommended the venue by our B&B host mainly for the good vegetarian options. While they didn't have the specific items we had been told about there were two dishes... More

I came here with my partner he had a coffee and i had a soft drink, his coffee was served luke warm and had to be taken back and i had to ask for a new glass twice as it was very dirty. We also had to ask for our table outside to be cleared and wiped. Seemed to be... More

food was okay but a very long wait. the night we went in half term holiday there was obviously not enough staff to cope, there were LOTS of empty tables but we still had a very long wait to be seated and served as we were told there was not enough staff in the kitchen to serve all the tables... We eat here quite often, I've got family in Swanage and this has always been a welcoming place for us. Especially as the bar area is dog friendly! We went most recently for their Halloween night and it was great food, great value for money and as always the service was excellent.

This cafe/restaurant is situated right on the beach with stunning views over swanage bay and out to sea towards poole. We had coffee which was good. The decor inside is very cosy and modern and looks inviting. However after saying good things i must say i did think the floor inside and on the entrance looked a bit untidy. In... More

Male manager (I assume manager) asked if our starters were ok which one of them was not. Cold thick tomato soup, I explained politely this was not nice at all, he then proceeded to argue that was how it comes (which it should not have done as per the menu) then walked of muttering under his breath how Bizarre that... Popped into the Bull and Boat for a liquid lunch when visiting glorious Swanage, this was right on the beach so all the better, we had a cheeky Merlot to enjoy the day

Dined as a group of 8 at the lovely Bull & Boat last night. Had an excellent evening. We all enjoyed our food, and no complaints about the service. Kelly and staff were brilliant. The set Halloween menu was fantastic value for money and we were able to enjoy the evening without feeling rushed. A massive thank you to Kelly... More
