Thought we would give it another try, but just for a drink this time! No change. Outside empty table full of dirty China. Bar cluttered with dirty China. Apparently don't have any ginger ale. So we gave that a miss and went to the Grand Hotel. Much better choice.

Visited here for a snack after walking the dog on the beach on a chilly, misty day and had to sit outside because of the pooch. Whilst very few were eating, it still took nearly half an hour for them to prepare a baked potato and a sandwich, which meant we were well and truly frozen by the time it... More

Nice breakfast - well cooked, well presented, reasonably priced. The restaurant is right on the beach, and we were blessed with sunshine in March, could honestly have been anywhere !!

Unfortunately very poor experience... It was supposed to be nice and sunny day so we decided to book a table day before. We requested to sit outside as we were coming with a dog. We also thought our daughter could have a little play on the beach while waiting for food. When we got to the restaurant our table wasn't... More

Great location with views overlooking Swanage bay. We sat outside for lunch as it was a nice day and the cover provides shelter from the wind. I had a chilli jacket potato which was very nice and my side salad was full of different vegetables which was a nice addition to the meal. We had 2 meals and a glass... More

Great Location overlooking the bay. Ask for a window seat in the evening. Food very nice. Fish good. Not rushed at all, which is good as you can enjoy the evening. We payed £65 for two starters and main courses plus a bottle of wine. I gave it four star as although we had a pleasant evening and the food was... More

Location is great and having experienced mediocrity in food and service elsewhere in the area, this place was a lovely surprise. Food was very good with a varied menu and lots of local produce, especially the seafood. The service was excellent. A staff that are prepared to go the extra mile, my husband asked for a variation to a dish... More

Late lunch with a large family group after a longish walk from the nearby long stay car park (free off season) to swanage and back to build up an appetite. Most of us chose fish and chips (very large portions with good batter!) off a fairly limited range of options. Great location overlooking the beach and good service considering there... More

We knew this place didn't have a great rep for food but thought we would try....my goodness was it bad. Beef was thin slices of lukewarm chewy beef. The gravy tasted like it had washing up liquid in it. The 2 roast potatoes weren't crispy and more like oily new potatoes. There are no greens with the roast, just a... More
