Good cream tea, with some good home-made plum and blackberry jams (alongside some cheap stuff in individual jars) and service with a smile. Cosy dining area, and comfortable enough, though the thick, transparent plastic table cloth was more than a little naff.

Stayed here recently while attending a wedding at a nearby vineyard. A very warm welcome from Mary & Malcolm and a really good breakfast. Tea shop cakes and scones looked delicious too!

Lovely quaint tearoom with wonderfully querky tea cosies. Great cream tea with scrumptious home made scones. Selling nice glass crafts.

Friendly service, good gluten free options and cosy atmosphere. We really liked Chestnuts because it was everything we needed after our walk.

Unpretentious quintessential English tea shop. Positioned at the southern end of Alfriston, so possibly missed by many people, but it is the best of the tea shops in Alfriston. I had a two scone cream tea for £5:50, with plenty of everything. My wife did...More

Small, friendly café. We dropped in near the end of the day but they still had a good selection of homemade cakes and very fresh scones. They also do a selection of gluten, dairy, and egg free cakes. Excellent value for money too.

Great value, good choice of menu, yummy savoury scones. Cosy and eclectic atmosphere with quirky 60s soundtrack and table games and things to do. Really enjoyed lunch with daughter and would definitely revisit when next in Alfriston.
