Took the family out to celebrate Mothers day. I have eaten here and other Jamie's places and I always come away feeling disappointed. The food is ok but not memorable and it is overly expensive. Nice atmosphere but not that exciting. It's worth a visit...More

We enjoyed our experience at Jamie's Italian. Traditional Italian dishes prepared and cooked just like on his TV shows. No problem catering for my garlic allergy either. The bread and olives to start were delicious, and the pasta that followed full of flavour and quite...More

I've been to several Jamie Oliver's restaurants throughout the country. They can always be relied upon to serve good, tasty food. The only downside is that they're very busy and can have quite a manic atmosphere, which is encouraged with loud rock music. The Brighton...More

I have always liked Jamie's food and have bought many of his books but the disappointment I felt visiting his "Italian" themed restaurant was, let's say deserved. Great decor, maybe a bit too much on the distressed Industrial look, but pleasant. Then came the menu,...More

We visited last night and had a lovely evening. The food and service was fabulous. Very quick and efficient. Considering there was 9 of us, the food all arrived together. The food was delicious, absolutely loved the polenta chips!

Description
JAMIE'S ITALIAN BRIGHTON A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. The lovely Brighton restaurant is located on Black Lion Street, a stone's throw from the seafront, nestled within Brighton's famous Lanes. The rooftop terrace is a great spot to enjoy a drink and a bowl of our freshly made pasta or a burger after a trip to the beach, or relax in one of the cosy booths and watch the chefs at work in their beautiful open kitchen. There's something for everyone here, whatever the occasion - a quick bite with friends or a big family dinner - come in and soak up the atmosphere while you tuck into some delicious Italian food.
