We visited Preston Park Tavern for a roast this Sunday with my sister and her family. The roast dinners never disappoint at the tavern. We ordered roast lamb, chicken and a nut roast, all were very good. The lamb was presented as a good chunk of meat that was seductively crispy and chewy on the edges and succulent and tender... Popped in tonight as a party of four for an early meal and drink. Feels lovely when you walk in, however it was just too dark to sit and try and read the menu, we all needed to use the torches on our phones to read the menu! When the food arrived we could barely see what we had on... More

I like the atmosphere in here, the wines lovely (little pricey) and the foods ok. menu is not the best and not typical pub food but its a cute date like pub.

I was disappointed food tepid and desert was supposed to be pannacotta it was so rich we couldn't eat it and was nothing like a Pannacotta should be. Also was told whist eating desert we only had 25 mins left before they wanted table back.

We had some good food, service and beer in a friendly atmosphere. The pub itself is well decorated and inviting. I would visit again.

More of a restaurant than pub to be honest - food very good. However, there are often far too many children running around to provide what I call 'a proper pub'. Having said this its a great lunch time venue when the food prices are very reasonable. Maybe avoid early evening if, like me, you prefer a more adult environment.

Came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. A great menu selection, excellently presented. This NOT your standard pub grub. A wide variety of wines at a reasonable price. A good atmosphere and great value for money. Will put this on our list of eating places to revisit. Thanks for contributing to our wonderful evening.

If you love a good old fashioned roast then this is the pub for you!! The portion size is amazing, the flavours and the taste is unreal and thankfully as I'm a veggie they do the best Nut Roast I think I have ever tried so there's something for everyone and then you get to the selection of wines......it won't... Pleasant pub but very loud. Lucky we had a separate room which was comfortable and spacious. Prices normal and food menu good. Difficult for a wheelchair.

Had dinner on Saturday with friends before heading out. Didn't want loads so ordered starters with some chips. My short rib of beef was spot on, and really substantial. Friends had seafood linguine which was also very good. Nice spot. Wish it was my local...

Locals and foodies mix in this delightfully bright and cheerful family-friendly food pub – a hidden gem, which has remained busy and buzzy since it opened six years ago. Something of a local institution, this fabulous pub serves good honest food, prepared with skill and passion. Beautifully prepared roast meals are served on Sundays from 12 to 6pm. With superb Sussex reared meats, a vegetarian and fish option as well as small portions for children, it’s hard to find a reason not to visit.
