Group of 8 of us enjoyed this new curry experience. Basic, no thrills curry but damn tasty. Onion bhaji was super. Pea and paneer curry good and freshly made. Breads were small but cumin rice good. All enjoyed it and £63 for 4 of us with just water. Recommended as original and tasty

The restaurant has friendly staff and a casual atmosphere. It looked very popular but I have no idea why. The food was awful. The sort of Indian curry I cooked when I was a student. Authentic ingredients but not cooked well enough for the paying customer. It wasnt particularly cheap either. I was very disappointed as you can tell after... More

Family run vegetarian restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The menu has quirky comments which are very helpful! The food is very tasty and is served quickly. There is also a wide variety of craft beers available. This is not the standard korma/dansak/bhuna Indian restaurant as it is more authentic than that. We would highly recommend it!

Planet India has been one of my favourite restaurants in Brighton for many years. I first went perhaps 15 years ago and have had many great meals there. I've not been for a while and sadly I was a bit disappointed by my latest visit. Sort of feels like there's less love in the cooking than I remember; the quality... More

Have eaten here a few times and it's always excellent; went with friends for a birthday meal last Saturday and Planet India delivered again - delicious inexpensive and relaxed atmosphere. No frills menu but every dish a winner; can't get enough of their Brel Puri starter - yum!

i have now eaten 3 times in Planet India and found it to be one of my favourite indian restaurants i have ever been to. The spices are very well balanced, the ingredients fresh and it is well priced. The service is friendly, respectful and the advice given on request is dependable. i would recommend Planet India to anyone.

Went to planet India in hove last night. Group of 7 with two vegans. The food was amazing so tasty and spicy without being over spiced. For devout meat eaters in the group they too were surprised that "veggie" food could be so good !!! Ha ha . The staff are friendly and accommodating and the embience was authentic. If... More

A vegetarian friend suggested this small Indian restaurant to us. It is amazingly cheap, and amazingly good. The menu is limited but everything is utterly fresh and the flavours are distinct and far from the tired routine of the average Indian/Bangladeshi routine. There's a good list of craft beers ( it is Brighton, you know) and few wines which are... More

I don't really recognise what I really eat. Maybe the restaurant tries to be creative in making vegitarian food from all possible ways they can. However, I don't feel the food tastes good. Maybe it is for the vegan to consider, but not for me.
