A friendly warm welcome on a cold November evening. Appears to be family run. Food is a good old fashioned Thai menu,a small wine list but with a good variety and reasonably priced.

One of my all time favourite restaurants. The menu clearly labels vegan products, and there are so many options. We always go for the vegan starter platter which is just delicious. Summer rolls are equally as tasty. Really great portion sizes too. And they also do a fab chilli margarita! Highly recommend.

Great attentive staff. Unfortunately we were sat next to the wrong type of people for a nice romantic dinner for two! Average food, good staff.

I ate here with two friends after reading positive reviews and wanting to eat somewhere reasonably priced. The restaurant is quite small but very nice inside with an indoor waterfall We chose the great value two course menu. I had chicken satay which had a very nice peanut sauce. I chose pad Thai for main as that is one of... More

One of our favourite haunts; time for another write up. We walked the length of Brighton seafront [10 km-ish] and needed warming up on Black Friday..........it was actually freezing cold Friday, so decided Thai spicy food was the answer. We arrived as staff were leaving from the lunchtime shift but were sat and waited on very well by the minimum... More

Walked in off the street early on a Saturday night pre theatre. 2 of us had a set menu and 2 chose individual dishes. Restaurant was friendly, busy and efficient. Service was good and the food delicious. We have recommended to a number of people who have all had the same experience. Not over priced and if you are going... More

Came here in a group of 10 with family. The restaurant is quite small and not very well lit. I had crispy aromatic duck pancakes to start. The duck was too crispy to the point of being burnt. For main I had a beef jungle curry, sticky rice and stir fried vegetables. It was gorgeous. The curry was really hot... More

We took our granddaughter (a vegetarian) and 10 month old great granddaughter here for dinner. The baby had a special chair fixed to an ordinary chair (better than a high chair) so she was very much part of the social occasion. We liked this. There were plenty of vegetarian dishes to choose from. Indeed the menu was good with a... More

Friendly Spanish waiter from Madrid. This bistro has been going for at least 12 years. The cascading sound of auspicious water falling in the background. Quiet by the Pavilion Gardens away from the busy main shopping street. Pad Thai was copious and I went home with a doggy bag for later. I began with Tom Ka soup. Very tasty in... More

Description
Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence award for the last 4 years running. The Thai word Sabai translates simply as relaxed, the perfect description of this Brighton gastrobar where the urban cool of London on Sea is matched to the ethnic charm of the Land of Smiles. Bringing a taste of Phuket's beach bars and Bangkok's most upmarket restaurants to the UK, Sabai is all about chilling out, South East Asian style a fact which is patently clear from the silk floor cushions, cocktail menu and warm, smiling welcome. The deep red and dark wood, gold and green interior is as beautiful as Sabai's freshly cooked, authentic food, MSG free and made using local ingredients where possible and imported Thai herbs and spices where essential. Because everything is made to order, special requests are welcomed.
