The food was horrible cheap and greasy not a place for in the day time if it was late and you were drunk then it's OK but a bad OK 1 🌟 and that is pushing it

This place prides itself on it's famous Gutbuster meal which is a giant full English breakfast - and is great! But, there are also other options on the menu which are just as good. This place is well established and I have been going here for over 20 years!

I've come in here a few times a bit pissed after a night out. Food hits the absolute spot every time. Pretty great value for money also.

I order from the place fairly often.. I won't say that the food is haute cuisine.. however having a place that delivers 24/7 & is open 24/7! Is a fantastic thing. The delivery people are always super nice, the food is consistent, its warm and nourishing! Its referred to as a greasy spoon, yes some of genetics of the food... More

The business positioning of this place is odd. It's a bistro at restaurant prices. The food is very good, the menu quite imaginative, and the personal attention superb, The service was slow, however, and the seating quite tight. I think it needs to decide if it's a diner, or if it's a restaurant, and then set its pricing, atmosphere and... More

This is not a fine dining place - but then it doesn't profess to be, it's an all night cafe. The food quality is complete rock bottom - burgers are worse than you'll remember having at school, the cheese comes in slices, bacon seems synthetic and the sausages have more potato in them than the chips. When you realise and... More

Great greasy spoon that really hits the spot! Came on a Sunday morning, fast efficient friendly service! Gut Buster breakfast does exactly what it says on the tin!

I ordered my food and it took over an hour and a half to arrive. Once it did arrive it was okay food, but definitely not worth the over an hour wait. When I tried to phone to ask where my order was or how far along it was they were blunt and hung up on me. Would not recommend... More

Popped in while working in the area about 2100 on a Thursday. I ordered the burrito and was amazed the food was fresh and tasty with massive portions. My mate ordered a pizza and that was fresh and light as well. If I am in the area will be diverting to the market diner again.

Originally, the all-night cafe for workers at the now defunct Fruit & Veg Market, it mostly serves clubbers who are homeward bound or any others who have a pressing need of "transport cafe" food when everywhere else is closed. Usually it's still open at dawn (though nominally closing at 2am - perhaps if if the last customer left early). Just... More

Not many places can lay claim to being 'the original home of the Gut Buster' - but then, they don't all come like Market Diner in Brighton. The all-night cafe is a local institution - a favourite among clubbers and lorry-drivers alike, and serves up tummy teasers like steak, eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, peas and chips, along with the legendary Gut Buster: eggs, bacon, mushrooms, burger, black pudding, fried toast, beans, chips and tomatoes. If you've got an appetite that's not easily sated, and you're a fan of the fried breakfast - this is a must-visit for you.
