Decor has changed since we were here last, and is not as quaint or intimate as it was. I'm guessing this is deliberate as the atmosphere is different and busy with larger groups. Service is brusque and informal, the waiting person sat on the edge of our table while we were eating our main course to take the order of... More

4 us were booked in for 7.30 last Saturday 21st. Unknown to us they had booked in a 16 male stag doo on the table behind us, in which is a very small space. They were loud, shouting, swearing and being obnoxious. They were so loud that it was not possible for us to have a conversation with the person... More

We booked for dinner as it was near where we needed to be later in the evening but nearly didn't go in when we saw what it looked like, a throw back to the 70s. I embarrassingly said to my glamourous companion that it looked like a dump not knowing the manager was sitting outside and had heard me. Anyway... More

I really enjoyed my takeaway from Kambi's. It was inexpensive with generous portions and the kebab I ordered was perfect. Next time I will eat in for the full experience. Fantastic.

Have eaten here a few times and was advised that the platter(a starter) was quite big and I probably wouldn't need a main course and this was right. Saved me unecessary expense.

Went on a rainy Wednesday lunchtime and was given a delightfully warm welcome. The owner is charming and the food was delicious. The food is authentic, and served without pomp or ceremony. The vegan mezze was exquisite, and I highly recommend it. If I lived in Brighton, I'd eat here everyday.

My daughter and I popped in for a quick lunch today and came away determined to visit again very soon. I had chicken livers (which was a starter) big portion and so delicious. My daughter had the vegan mezze which was also fabulous. The owner is a very good man, who genuinely cares about the local community.

We are regular visitors here and are never disappointed. Eat in or takeaway the quality is there. There seem to be so many places along the same street but Kambis is a class act. The shawarma wraps are excellent and pretty good value. It's well worth eating in and trying the starters and main dishes - their rice is seriously... More
