We visited one rainy afternoon..and were left with mixed feelings. We were very hungry, so food perhaps tasted ok, but in hindsight, may not be so much. They need to refurbish the place, retrain the wait staff...and improve food a bit. Somewhat pricey for quality of food it offers.

This has to be by far the worst indian I have had. We were the only people in the restaurant and after eating the food, I realised why. I had chicken tikka korma which was awful. The sauce didnt taste of anything and was very watery- the rice was just a mush. I was very disappointed. The pashwari naan looked... More

I dropped in for a quick bite on a wet evening after a late day in the office. Service was reasonable, and the food was ok but not great. Price was a little bit high for the quality of food offered in my opinion. I would go back again, but would also check out some of the many other restaurants... More

I should have put this on immediately after our last visit but have been inspired to do so by other similar comments. We have probably been to Akash a dozen or so times over the past 5+ years and it has got steadily worse. Having complained a few years ago, we were given a free main course on our next... More

As two Londoners and Indian restaurant lovers, a two day visit to Brighton was made perfect after finding the Akash Tandoori. After checking out window menus in various Indian restaurants in the same road this was by far our first choice. It looked great value for money. Although it didn't actually look open as it was very dimly lit and... More

I had the misfortune to stumble upon this "restaurant" in the pouring rain one Wednesday evening and decided to give it a go to escape the weather. What a mistake. Easily the filthiest, most disgusting eatery I have ever visited in my life. With a yellowing, peeling in places (through damp one must assume), poorly artexed interior; the filthiest toilets... Enjoyed eating there, but always felt that they put in less than required quantity of salt. They conclude with a complimentary piece of After 8 mint chocolate. This is a Bangladeshi run Indian restaurant (or, they were Indians when they emigrated to the UK).

Great authentic Tandoori but be prepared for a little wait, of course you could always enjoy one of their very reasonably priced wines in the meantime!!
