I've always liked the Lion and Lobster, as its such an interesting venue and the first floor restaurant is a great space. I haven't been for quite a while, so I was looking forward to a pre-Christmas lunch there with friends. However we were very...More

Great, great pub, in its look and layout. The ingredients of the Sunday lunch are fabulous. But as can sometimes be the case it's the niggles that let a place down. Plates and food not hot enough to last the time it takes to eat...More

The staff are nice but it’s so unorganised. The drinks never arrived, i asked for sauce which wasn’t brought over, the table wasn’t ready when we arrived and they never offered pudding menus. It was rushed and not enjoyable. Shame as the food is nice.

Pre booked for a table of 12, we all had different meat or vegetarian options, generous portions, huge Yorkshire puddings! 12 clean plates & 12 very full people, top Sunday roast spot. Just make sure to pre book a table.
