Return visit to one of our favourite restaurants in Brighton. We had a table on the terrace and were very well looked after by the attentive staff. We shared a crab starter and I had the prawns with garlic dip as a main from the...More

Very quiet when we ate here in the early evening. Scaffolding rather spoilt the view and the ambience. Service initially was good, but by the time the fourth waiter took over, we ended up waiting 30 minutes for desert. This itself was disappointing (the Baklava...More

We had a very enjoyable dinner here in the light and airy restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was tasty and well prepared and up to the standard you would expect from a two AA rosette establishment.

Visited for lunch on Easter Saturday. Surprizingly very quiet. Food was good, prices are high but expected in this sort of restaurant. Service was very good. Sadly they have stopped doing the Lobster Burger which was one of the few dishes that made them different...More

It was nice...nothing more. It was expensive and average at best. I have never paid so much for bread and water ever I could not believe it.

GB1’s philosophy is quality with simplicity. The 2 AA Rosette restaurant offers a fantastic choice of the finest and freshly caught seafood from Brighton’s shores. Executive Chef Alan White's brigade of passionate and inventive chefs add a contemporary touch to classic British cuisine and seafood favourites. Standout menu items include sea bass with suckling pig chorizo, and the king prawn pan-roasted fruits de mer platter, while new seasons additions include wonderful twists on retro classics such as the rhubarb almond cake with burnt apple puree. The seasonally changing menu also boasts meats from the grill namely the delectable Aberdeen Black rib-eye steak, classic Sussex favourites and vegetarian dishes. GB1's contemporary vibe plays sensitively to the hotel's historic character and Regency architecture, boasting wonderful features such as the striking central fish bar built around the existing columns and central ornate chandelier.
