Booked the Gingerman wholly on the reviews on here. Another good choice! The restaurant is small but perfectly formed. Very pleasant staff. Sunday roast were great, both pork and beef. Very good value for money when you consider the quality of food. Would definitely visit...More

Far beyond what was expected - the tasting menu (with wine flight) was perfection. The wait staff asked upon us being seated whether we had any allergies/dietary requirements, and immediately adjusted the menu accordingly. The food and wine pairings were perfect; the staff were knowledgable...More

From the excellent gin Martini, shaken not stirred to the well judged service, attentive - not intrusive, to the delicious food , we couldn't have asked for a better Sunday luncheon - smart & relaxed atmosphere with a warm & understated welcome : all appreciated!

Being a local I have eaten in most of the Brighton restaurants. The Gingerman remains one of, if not the, best in town. A set menu lunch is great if you want to keep the cost down.

It is sometime since our last visit to the Gingerman, a visit which we also reviewed. This is still a "5" as far as we are concerned. Great food, wine and service we can't wait to go back!

I have eaten at 20 Michelin starred restaurants but this was the best meal ever. Why? Originality, flavours. Execution. Choose the most uncompromising sounding dish and it will be a revelation e.g. Kohlrabi or pain perdu or just a simple cod dish absolutely delicious. Staff...More

I agree, lovely restaurant but not really child friendly. It's more of a couples restaurant.
