As a meat eater I found the food to be fantastic! We all ate vegan dishes and what struck me more than anything were the flavours of each of the dishes. Our waiter was excellent, giving us advice on each of our courses. He also gave us a very good recommendation on our drinks (bottled beer, prosecco, red wine). Well... More

Terre a terre goes from strength to strength. The menu has some great new dishes combined with some old favourites. As vegetarians the only difficulty for us is dealing with such a wide choice! The staff are superb and always greet us like long lost friends even though we can only travel there once a year. Whether you are vegetarian... More

My wife surprised for my birthday bringing me here for lunch. My wife is Vegan and I still eat meat once a week. it was a bitterly cold day so was great to find it so warm and welcoming when we entered. For a Thursday afternoon it was certainly busy which was a good sign. Our waiter was very attentive... More

Superb service and a varied and imaginative vegetarian menu. Lovely atmosphere and a wonderful venue for a birthday celebration with my partner and two teenage children. £140 total bill for starters, four main courses, two puddings and two bottles of beer and two glasses of wine, felt quite expensive, but it was a lovely experience.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Being a determined carnivore, a veggie restaurant isn't really my thing but these guys really know their onions and provide exciting (and exciting-looking) plates full of flavour. The staff are really fun (thanks Dirk!) and very helpful with the menu. Lots of dishes can be made vegan on request. Very good cocktails too. Will... More

This is a great places for vegan afternoon tea. They do an Asian twist on it so I would say it's worth trying!

This meal was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. I'm not a vegetarian but enjoy non meat/fish meals. The food was tasty and very creative, using a whole variety of ingredients in a clever way to produce dishes that were delicious, colourful, and interesting. The many components of each dish ensured excitement with every mouthful. The... More

I've always thought this restaurant was the best vegetarian gourmet experience ever. My children and I visit every 6 months.. and always thought it was special. I notice however the menu has been revamped and not quite so dazzling as usual.. the terre a tapas the former jewel in the crown of the restaurant is sparse and the option for... More

Terre a Terre has a good case for being the best vegetarian restaurant in the UK - certainly in my view it's the best in Brighton which has more than it's fair share in the first place. Great food and wine, enthusiast staff and prices that don't scare you away (definitely not cheap but worth it).

Thank David R

Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.
