Probably the best meal I have ever eaten, the staff were fantastic, band the chef made our evening by coming out and saying hello. If you enjoy great food in great surroundings, this is the place for you, wonderful...!

Having found this little gem of a restaurant during the summer we decided to revisit it for New Year’s Eve. The restaurant is situated in the lanes and during the summer has an open area where you can eat out and watch Brighton life as...More

There is such a choice of restaurants in Brighton-residents are spoiled for choice. We were here for New Year and finding a restaurant that was mid range and yet offers a little bit extra was hard-but eventually booked The House and though I would recommend...More

We went on boxing day. Initially disappointed as there was no soup no bread and no fish. Must have had a very busy day. We both had chicken mains which were as good as we have ever tasted. A decent selection of wines to match....More

There is a small area to the right of the door as you come in where my family and I had a drink whilst we were waiting for one of our party to park

Hello, The restaurant makes no claims to that and if they did I imagine they would advertise it. I suggest you contact Restaurants Brighton for more information. Have a nice day

Nestled amongst Brightons famous Lanes, filled with bohemian cafes and boutiques, is The House Restaurant a favourite hang-out for Brighton's foodies. Located only minutes away from the seaside and the Royal Pavilion, The House Restaurant is a cosy establishment spread over two floors in a converted Victorian house decorated with a modern vanilla and chocolate brown colour scheme. The food here is modern British, and specialties include beef Wellington and steak - customers come back again and again for the sirloin and fillet steaks, all tender, cooked to order and served with your choice of chunky chips or new potatoes. The extensive menu has something for everyone including, this being Brighton, a great range of vegetarian choices. Weather permitting (or even if it doesnt theres heating!), theres a lovely outdoor terrace set in a cobbled sheltered square in the south Lanes.
