Took ages. We waited at the bar for a good ten minutes, other people joined us but the staff were doing something else. They did come and tell us they were doing something to be fair but there was only 1 other table of 2....More

Hi Strafin, Sorry our pizza wasn't for you, generally we get rave reviews. We are currently waiting on a toilet refurbishment yes. Our staff work extremely hard. I trust that if they were away from the bar, they were with good reason. On Facebook I...More

Nice little London/Berlin style concrete bar, although not THAT cool, come on. Love the choice of beer and cider and if you are vegan they do fit vegan pizzas slathered in cheese for when you inevitably crave something after a pint too many. I'd love...More

Stopped in here for a break during a bit of Christmas shopping, It was pretty quiet so there were a good few options of where to sit. The inside decor is great and the choice of music was superb - just at the right volume...More

I live in Brighton and was refused admission because I admitted that I had been to watch Brighton & Hove Albion play earlier in the evening. I was sober and not part of a group. Does the management really believe that 80's football hooligans have...More

The dog and I had had enough of escorting my wife around clothes shops by mid afternoon and negotiated waiting for her in this bar. It looked cool from the outside and advertised vegan pizzas and, when we asked, they welcomed the dog. I ended...More

We had to wait 90 minutes for a pizza the last time we were at Dead Wax Social. Prior to our latest visit, again for a friend’s 30th, the bar asked how many of us would be having pizza, which meant it was well prepared....More

Since there’s so much choice in Brighton we took advice from friends and came here. The pizza was so good and is clearly made with good quality, fresh ingredients. The chef was good enough to specially make a salad as well because it was quiet....More

We'd been meaning to visit Dead Wax for quite a while but finally got a chance at the weekend. The menu has a good selection for vegans, which is why i wanted to go. I opted for a pesto pizza, and also a garlic pizza...More

Love going to Deadwax - the staff are always friendly and the pizza is delicious! Only bugbear is that the drinks are a tad expensive, also they did not have any condiments to accompany the pizza's once. Otherwise, great.

Welcome to Dead Wax Social, come join the party…

Tucked away in the heart of Brighton’s North Laine, we’re kings of casual dining and the city’s premier late night drinking hub.

Let’s keep it simple. Here’s all you need to know:

We have an ever-changing selection of craft beers. Whether you’re after a schooner from our tap wall, or want to work your way through our choice selection of bottled goodness, we’re sure you’ll find a favourite.

Our beer list is curated by Beer Collective, and includes (among others) the likes of Northern Monk, Madhatter, Fourpure, and local brewers Bison Beer and Two Tribes.

Our music policy is straight forward: All vinyl, all the time.

During the day our staff will be spinning choice tunes from our 5000+ strong collection of vinyl. You’re welcome to have a dig through our stacked shelves, or even bring your own records, and select the soundtrack to your time at DWHQ.

Every evening we have live all-vinyl DJs, spinning until the small hours, spanning the genres night-by-night! On top of this, we also host a weekly comedy music quiz, live scratch events, pop-up record stores…

It’s well worth checking out our listings -there’s always something ace going on!

That’s right. Every day - 12pm-9pm, the Pressing Plant Pizza Co. fire up the stone-bake oven and chefs roll out fresh sour dough bases to order. With meaty, veggie AND vegan options, our crispy, topping-heavy pizzas are the bomb.
