We have been going here for a number of years and the change of ownership hasn't altered the excellent quality and customer service. What has changed is that they now do a homemade tartare sauce that is delicious. The lovely owner recommended a fish called...More

We had a great visit to Maggie's and really enjoyed the food, service and ambience. The sun was shining which helped. The large Cod and Chips is enormous (and you won't need to eat for the rest of the day!). Really good food.

Definitely the best fish and chips in Hastings. Amazingly light batter on very fresh local fish. Fab chips. Huge portions so go on a empty stomach. Not the cheapest in town but well worth every penny. Booking ahead advisable as so popular.

Lots of public car parks near by. However during the day, the queues for them can be huge!

Here at Maggie's we're in our third decade of serving you hearty portions of the freshest fish, cooked to order, in a warm and welcoming cafe - the same traditional family-friendly approach as when Margaret Banfield first put her name above the door. We're right on the Fisherman's Beach - so you'll enjoy some spectacular views while you tuck in to our fish, direct from the market below us and our specials are straight off the boats with the morning catch - keeping a carbon footprint of less than 20 miles. You can't get fresher than that! Maggie's is licensed too, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with your meal. We are open six days a week, but it's advisable to call us ahead to reserve your table, and if you've got a special occasion, we welcome parties of up to 40 guests.
