We visited the Champignon Sauvage as we do every year after visiting the BBC Food and Wine Show at the NEC. So you know we are food and Wine buffs! We started with a glass of pink Champagne each. Very rewarding! We then ordered a two course meal. In fact we were fed with numerous 'amous bouches' so it turned... More

Having thoroughly enjoyed our previous visits, we decided to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary at this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. The food was outstanding - beautifully cooked and presented with wonderful flavour combinations. The service that we received was excellent with just the right level of formality. We will definitely visit again.

The food here is outstanding and deserves its 2 Michelin Stars. How anybody can rate this restaurant any less is, well, just strange. My partner and I have eaten here 4 /5 times since moving to Cheltenham and it is delivers perfection in its food and service. We eat at many quality restaurants including 1 2 & 3! Michelin Star... Another lunch time visit to Le Champignon Sauvage with family today and it's becoming a pre-Christmas regular thing or at least it was. In my last visit here I did pick up on the tiredness of the venue and how I thought it could do with a rethink. Well I'm actually knocking a star of this review after today's visit.... More

I'm sure there are a lot of customers that would totally disagree with me ,BUT, this is a two star restaurant. Firstly, arrived on a Friday evening at 7:20 for a 7:30 reservation, the place was dark and the door was locked. Waited until 7:30 prompt before they opened. If we hadn't travelled from Yorkshire I would have walked there... More

expectations were high with it being Michelin starred and we were still blown away, everything was superb, food, presentation, wine list, welcome, service and, at only £100 per head all included, the best value for such an establishment we have had to date. We will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

Not the first time we have dined here so we knew what to expect. Food was excellent, very interesting, and beautifully presented, with unusual flavour combinations, but carefully thought through. Wines are sensibly priced with some by the glass, so you don't have to break the bank. The service was friendly and helpful but never intrusive, with all being under... More

OK not cheap but it's the first time in my life I could taste every ingredient and composite layer in every mouthful of food - a complete pleasure for the senses - well worth the price definitely the finest food I have ever eaten :-)

On May 24th, i took my wife for our anniversary dinner. I was actually put off going by the booking process. For such a fine dining and great reputation restaurant i expected something a little more personable. It actually felt as though we were an imposition on them. That being said as we walked through the door, we were wished... More
